It is a report led by the organization of the Barcelona Beer Festival, in collaboration with the Vice-Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Policy of the Basque Government. The press conference was attended by the representatives of these two entities, Peli Manterola, and Mikel Ruis, as well as the president of the Basque Beer Association, Jabier Ortega.
As they have explained, with a couple of pioneering projects, in 2012 the movement of craft breweries began, being 2014 the most productive year. Over the past two years, the sector has taken steps in its stabilisation process and has yielded good results, according to Mikel Rius, director of the Barcelona Beer Festival.
