15 terabytes .eus domains for public files
- The National Library of Spain and the Digital Library of the Euskadi Euskariana have collaborated, for the second consecutive year, in the compilation of a large block of contents under the domain .eus. In more than 13,000 domains, large lots of pages with a total of 15 terabytes of information have been stored. But the result is not put on the net, you have to go on-site to have access to the National Library of Spain and the Central Library of the Basque Government (Lakua).
According to the press release, access to content has been made through the automatic storage software called NetarchiveSuite, developed by the National Library of Denmark. Besides .eus. .es, .gal and .cat – an example of the Spanish digital heritage generated on the Internet, which will allow future generations to analyse and access it.
You can see what you have registered through this search engine. What we see is that Sustatu is saved in 2023 and 2024, but clicking can't be shown for copyright issues. The URL is public in any case. The interface also shows a 2017 safeguard, as you can see in the image above.
Editor Sustatu has tried to clarify the reasons for this excuse by asking Euskariana, but there are no clear answers to it. In fact, in the case of Denmark, its 850 terabytes have limited access, as detailed here.

2014an sareratu ziren eta martxan dauden 783 domeinu berrietatik 4. postuan dago. Argia.eus 12. da “konfiantza-fluxu” onena duten webguneen artean.
Korrikaren 19. edizioak irauten duen bitartean “.eus” domeinuak merkeago eskuratu ahalko dira.
Josu Waliño PuntuEus Fundazioaren zuzendariak ARGIAri egindako adierazpenetan esan du 2.000 ‘.eus’ domeinutara iristear daudela. 700 erakunde eta norbanakok jarri dute ‘.eus’ abizena 24 ordutan.

Abian da “.eus” domeinua. Larunbatean PuntuEus Fundazioak Bilboko Kafe Antzokian egindako agerraldiarekin batera aktibatu dira lehen webgunetako domeinuak. Falta direnak datozen egunetan abiatuko dira.

Interneteko izen eta zenbakiak esleitzeaz arduratzen den ICANN korporazioak .gal domeinua sortzeko kontratua sinatu du. Puntogal elkartea 7 urtez egon da lanean galiziar kulturaren eta hizkuntzaren adierazgarria izango den tresna sortzeko.
Euskararen eta Euskal Kultur Komunitatearen .eus domeinua onartu du ICANN erakundeak, urtebeteko ebaluazio fasearen ostean. PuntuEus fundazioa arduratuko da domeinuaren kudeaketaz eta kontrolaz.
