The struggle for housing will be the theme to be discussed this Saturday at the Civic Center of Errondo in Bilbao
- They have organised a round table to reflect on housing issues. Two Catalan homes will talk about their experience.
The increase in rent, the proliferation of tourist apartments, evictions… the gentrification and tourist processes of the city are making speculation even more extreme and are causing considerable damage to the right to housing. Thus, they have seen the need to reflect on the subject: they have organized a round table on the defense of the right to housing on Saturday at the Civic Center of Errondo, in the neighborhood of San Ignacio.
Speakers from Catalonia will be quoted in the round table, “where the fight for the right to housing is an example”, according to the organizers. The Barri Union of Poble Sec and Llogateres L’Hospitalet have been invited to talk about their experience and “The struggle for housing in Catalonia. The round table is entitled “The New Trench of the Popular Movement”.
The appointment is at 18:30 hours, and after the round table, the program will continue for everyone who wants to make it longer. The soloist Johnny Txintxes and DJ Norbyte will enliven the night.
