Socialist Gazte Topagune reflects on the nature of the socialist strategy and the challenges of the future

The Socialist Meeting Forum, which was supposed to be five days, was adapted to two days, according to the organizers, by the "change of attitude" of the municipalities of Villava and Burlada, facts that the GKS situated "within a bureaucratic maneuver". However, with the adaptation of the programme, it was promised in early October that the Topagunea will be held with "all guarantees".
Also in the subsequent assessment of the meeting, the Socialist Movement pointed out that "it was intended to ban the holding of the meeting bureaucratically". In addition, given the success of the initiative, EH Bildu and Sortu invite "reflection on bureaucratic and exclusive decisions" such as prohibitions.
Drafting the "new socialist strategy"
The "centre" of the Socialist Topagune has been to discuss the "nature and challenges" of the strategies, according to the organizers. Three talks were held on Friday and another on Saturday. They spoke, among other things, of the model of militancy against the "power of the bourgeoisie", of the "process of proletarianization" and of the bases for the "recomposition" of communism.
Moreover, on Friday night they made a demonstration leaving Burlada square, without bans on the Socialist Topagune! Combat the harassment of young workers! under the slogan. On Saturday at noon, on the other hand, another demonstration departed from the Plaza de Villava to Pamplona in the construction of the Socialist State Youth Obrera! under the altar. A photo of solidarity with the Palestinian people was also made.
Although camping was "forbidden", "many young people" spent the night "in one of the principal forbidden spaces".
"Bans didn't make sense."
The organization notes that the meeting has been strengthened: "Despite all the instability of lack of authorization, thousands of young people have participated in their initiatives." In the statement they have put EH Bildu and Sortu in the spotlight, and have challenged their "social base" for people to "reflect" on the "bureaucratic and exclusionary decisions" of their party.
On the other hand, the presence of the police has also been denounced, which, in addition to putting controls on the access to the city, has identified some members present.
