"The containment we have had so far has been effective," said Sierra at the press conference of the technical committee for the daily monitoring of the coronavirus, this Saturday. He explained that the next two weeks will be "with the same degree of confinement" as in the first two weeks of confinement. During the first two weeks, mobility fell by "around 70%" and should continue to do so in the next two weeks, he said.
Sierra pointed out that the confinement was "effective". He has therefore warned that "the containment measures will remain the same, even though the remoteness is very harsh".
In recent days, the Spanish Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has stated that, once measures are reduced, the first beneficiaries will be children. For the time being, it appears that the Spanish Government will continue to neglect the needs of children and adolescents.
