The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced on Tuesday that subsidies will be accepted to help young people pay rent. He made it public at a press conference, after the two parties that make up the coalition government had pronounced on their differences with respect to the law that seeks to regulate the price of rentals, since the lack of agreement between the PSOE and the United Nations We Can has blocked the General Budgets of Spain, which the United Nations May have made a condition for its approval the processing of the housing law.
Sánchez has announced that the budgets to be approved on Thursday will raise €200 million for the so-called “housing bonus” for young people and that the autonomous communities will have “flexibility” to manage them. This aid is intended for young people between 18 and 35 years of age, with an annual income of less than EUR 23,725, who are on hire. In Sánchez’s words, “in the case of the most vulnerable families, this bonus can be supplemented by direct rental subsidies, up to 40% of the rent value”. The maximum duration of the aid shall be two years.
Sánchez reports that this measure responds to a specific objective: Bring the emancipation age of the Spanish State closer to the European average. In fact, the average age of emancipation in Europe is 26 years, while in Spain it is 29 years.
Criticism of young people has not been sparse as soon as subsidies for the payment of rent to young people have been made known. Several argue that if the rental price and the housing market are not regulated and the public housing park is extended, the aid is unnecessary, as the owners can raise the rental price. This was expressed, inter alia, by Pastori Filigrana of the Andalusian Workers Union (SAT) or Jaime Palomera Zaidel of the Llogateres Union (Catalonia). Moreover, the latter has pointed out that, as announced, 55,000 young people will be able to receive aid, which means that 99% of young people will not see a penny.
On the bonus of 250€ to young people to pay the rent:
1. They announce that 50,000 young people will be able to receive the aid. This means that 99% of young people would not see a euro.
2nd Without strong and efficient regulation of rentals, only to raise prices.

If the State does not limit the prices of rentals of anything fresh with a bonus of 250€ to young people.
The owners will raise 250 € the price of the rentals because it limits them.
Simple gives.

Several have stressed that, rather than a measure to guarantee the universal right to housing, what the Spanish Government has announced is a measure to guarantee the income of the owners.
