The Spanish Government is today voting on the proposal that Sahara should change its attitude.

Aizpurua explained that this non-legislative proposal seeks to recover the historical position of the Spanish State, "and seeks to correct the unilateral decision that this Government has taken in this regard".

He described the action of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, as "error", who denied it to occur. "We believe that the PSOE today has the opportunity to correct that error, which is not the only one. Aizpurua has recalled that it was the Moroccan Government that made public the change of position of the Spanish Government and that ten days later it has not yet been clarified at what price its position has changed, without communicating with any other party of the Government. On Thursday, Sanchez will visit Morocco and Aizpurua said he does not have the support of any other party: "The consequences of that decision cannot be foreseen. Its economic, energy and diplomatic effects have already been noted. Algeria intends to raise the prices of the gas it transmits to the Spanish State, although it will keep the price for the rest of the European countries," he added.
