The head of the Defence Staff, Miguel Villarroya, has reported on the military operation since the Moncloa. He has reported that the Spanish Armed Forces will operate in 28 cities of the Spanish State in an operation against the coronavirus.
In order to "disinfect the facilities and avoid crowds of people", 1,800 military personnel will take the streets of the following capitals: Vitoria, Segovia, Toledo, Avila, Aranjuez, Granada, Mérida, Jerez, Alicante, Castellón, Santander, Oviedo, Pontevedra, A Coruña, Madrid, Málaga, Valladolid, Zaragoza, Seville, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, and the capitals of the Bahía de Cádiz.
