In a statement, the support association for prisoners pointed out that “with this initiative we want to stress the importance of bridging the gap between different people for returning prisoners home, because we want to state that it is the Navarre society that has to build the bridges to make the release of prisoners effective and to multiply the steps in the solution: I, you, us… we must all push ourselves from the same place!”.

“In short, we citizens have to be the bridge for prisoners to return home – the association said in its appearance at the Santa Engracia Bridge in Iruñea – active citizens willing to build bridges for resolution and coexistence. On that road we have to be active the citizens we dream of in a more just and peaceful people without prisoners. On the street, in institutions, in workplaces, in schools… we have to multiply those assets, both to be more, and to reach our goals faster.”
