The Scottish Prime Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has received the response announced for this Sunday. Johnson has said that in the 2014 referendum citizens decided to stay in the UK and that now is the time to work together to “develop all the power we have.”
On social media, Sturgeon has responded that conservatives are afraid, “because they know that when they give us the opportunity, we will choose independence. They are denying democracy, they are not going to support it.” Before the end of the month, he added, the next steps will be announced, “and we will again submit to the Parliament of Scotland to defend the right to decide our future.”
