Ipar Euskal Herria Children Return to School
- The boys and girls of Ipar Euskal Herria have started the 2019/2020 course today and this year will have one more ikastola, as SEASKA has opened a new ikastola between Ahetze and Arbona (Lapurdi).
Today the doors of the 37th ikastola of Seaska have been opened. The school, located between the laboratorial localities of Ahetze and Arbona, meets the demand of the municipalities that total 4,000 inhabitants. Due to this growth, more teachers are needed each year in the ikastolas of SEASKA, but for this association of ikastolas it is not economically viable, so they need the support of the French institutions. For this new course, SEASKA asked Paris 30 teachers, who will finally pay 19. The members of SEASKA stated that it was less than they wanted, but that with it they “could organize”.
