As confirmed by the Ertzaintza press office, an agent is being investigated for threatening a firearm when he was not in the service. The events took place last Friday night in the village of Amurrio.
Aiaraldea Komunikabideak has contacted the Foral Police in connection with a news item published by the Vocento group. The Department of Security, however, has corrected the information published in the journal and has pointed out that the event did not occur in Llodio, but in Amurrio.
According to the Vocento group, during Friday night the car of some young people was trapped in a rural area in the mud. Apparently, hearing the noise that had occurred outside his home, the agent living near him went out into the street.
Police reportedly photographed the license plates of cars on the spot and there was a collision between the youth and the man. As Vocento reported, the ertzaina took the gun and loaded it and attacked one of the young people on the street. Young people have been charged with causing damage to a vehicle in which several people travelled.
In addition to calling 112 at the same time, the youth group also denounced at the Ertzaintza Police Station in Laudio, where some of the injuries were also presented. Although the Ertzaintza press office has confirmed that it is investigating the threat commission, the newspaper notes that it has also been charged with injuries and damage.
