Three months after the aggression, it has not yet been possible to clarify what happened to the injured amateur in the football match between the Real Sociedad and the Paris Saint germain.

Amaya Zabarte, 44, was suddenly at the center of a load of the Ertzaintza when on March 5 he was looking for coverage in the immediate vicinity of the Reale Arena, suffering a severe blow to his head, apparently, by a foam shell. The blow caused a blood spill and had to be admitted to the ICU for a long period of time in critical condition.

The trial judge filed the case last May, alleging that "there is no known author" of the assault. On the other hand, the family reported that the Ertzaintza did not take further steps in the internal investigation that has been launched to clarify what happened. Shortly afterwards, the Ertzaintza itself filtered in the Diario Vasco the conclusions of this investigation that were carried out. According to his own words, the blow was not caused by a foam shell that crashed into the ground.
