Yesterday, Russia expelled ten diplomats from Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, after these three Baltic republics had expelled so many other Russian diplomats. Shortly thereafter, Ireland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Belgium expelled a total of 43 Russian diplomats.
Ireland has expelled four of them for activities "incompatible with the duties of diplomats". For similar reasons, the Netherlands has expelled seventeen diplomats and Belgium 21 members of the Russian mission.
