When grandparents were young, retirement was represented as a time to enjoy life. Period of collection of the fruits of the work carried out during these years. What a satisfaction! It is a pity that young people today are never able to feel. You might think I'm a pessimist, but the reality is quite the opposite.
Previously, young people started working early, and thanks to the experience gained in it, they could grow in the company, including the corresponding wage increase. The work was therefore long-term and the contributions were sufficient, which allowed a dignified pension when retiring.
But it is now hard for young people to find work, and when we find ourselves, working conditions and wages are not the right ones. They are often illegal. In addition, we learn years and years, so when we find a job we have about 25-30 years. Current work is also unsustainable and wages are often ridiculous.
All this without taking into account the new law. With this reform, the official retirement age will be progressively delayed to 67 by 2027. The number of years to be paid has also changed with the new reform. Because by 2027, we'll have to pay 38 and a half years.
The calculation of pensions shall take account of the last 30 years worked. In addition, we will benefit and be able to deduct from the calculation the worst 24 months underpaid. There are no concerns!
Only with this reform will they be able to reduce pensions and go to work with crutch, of course! Who will be able to work all these years? Who will have a permanent job with a good salary to be able to pay properly? Who will work in the future to pay our pensions?
Unfortunately, the answer to any question is “nobody”. We should go out into the street to call for the rights of superiors and decent working conditions to be guaranteed. Because we have to have the opportunity to live a peaceful old age.
It is clear that the system, as it is and will be, is not enough. It doesn't work. Europe has already warned us that this way in which pensions are being raised is untenable in the long term.
We must rebuild the system among all, promoting decent and sustainable quality of life policies in old age. Because we are entitled to a quiet retirement. I hope that one day we will succeed, I hope!

There are those who say that elections serve only to give legal status to political decisions. And there are not very many who think that way. Okay, but with that, a lot of things are said, among other things, that real power, power, is out of that game.
But, in my view,... [+]
