This weekend the festivities of Zestoa are held, and in the framework of it, last Saturday the Gazte Eguna was held. A social media user, Izaskun, reported on Sunday morning a racist attack in the Txosnagune district: "Yesterday evening, being Zestoa parties, being in txosnas with my husband, two guys approached him and said Go to your country (John to your country). As all attacks must be denounced, so must xenophobic and racist attacks! ". It received great support from other users on social networks.
At dusk, the Gazte Asanblada of Zestoa issued a statement reminding the situation. First of all, he condemned what happened and expressed "all solidarity" with the citizen assaulted and with whom he was assaulted. And the statement continued: "Let it be clear that in our spaces we do not tolerate any kind of racist, chauvinist, homophobic aggression, etc., and that the people who have these attitudes are not welcome." In this sense, the youth assembly has announced that they will try to "take action" for the festivities that take place during the weekend.
