Last Monday ELA delivered written statements to the addresses of the companies of the Tubes Reunited group in Amurrio, Trapagaran, Sestao and Nanclares de la Oca to make a request: Provide all documentation submitted to the State Association of Industrial Interests (SEPI).
Tubes Reunited requested at the beginning of the year a rescue of EUR 115 million to the entity, according to the same sources. To justify this rescue, it has had to present documentation, among other things, a plan for the future and a strategic plan.
ELA members have denounced that they have “repeatedly” requested these documents, but that the management has not forwarded them, despite the fact that “it is a legal obligation to submit such a request”.
In this regard, the union has warned that "patience has a limit" and has ensured that, if not received information, it will appeal to the courts. “The Reunited Tubes workers and their representatives deserve to be respected and should know the group’s plans for the future. Our priority is to ensure all jobs and working conditions.”
