In total, four people have been summoned to court for taking part in the march of last year. Two of them already declared in December and the other two did so on Thursday. "I said to the judge that yes, because putting the incinerator in the climate emergency in which I participated in the march against the incinerator seems to me to be barbaric and to protest is my right. Yes, I wasn't an organizer, I didn't wear a face mask and I didn't have any contact with the Ertzaintza," said Judge Joseba Álvarez, one of the two defendants he declared today, according to ARGIA.
The Anti-Incineration Movement has declared out of judgment that this polluting infrastructure will be officially launched on 3 March and that it is intended to intimidate the citizens so that they do not participate in the protests. "In any case, we are clear that citizenship must support each other and that we will support those harassing them for participating in the protests, and in the meetings we will hold in the coming weeks we will call for protests by 3 March," they said.
