An American federal agent has killed an activist on Thursday. This person was accused of killing a Donald Trump follower at an anti-racist rally in the city of Portland.
According to The Washington Post and The New York Times, Michael Forest Reinoehl died in Lacey, Washington when an FBI group tried to stop him. Reinoehl was shot by a federal agent who allegedly used "a pistol" in the UK leather belt. A source from the Justice Department told The Washington Post that members of the Federal Head of Investigation (FBI) and the Marshalls Service of the United States participated in the operation.
Reinoehl, 48, was linked to the anti-fascist movement, which has been arrested in France. Shortly after the New York Times published information about Reinoehl's death, Trump tweeted, but still did not appear to have news of the news, as he asked "why the Portland Police does not stop Aaron Jay Danielson's killer."
In an interview published this Thursday by Vice News media, Reinoehl acknowledged killing Danielson, allegedly involved in the murder. "I didn't have another chance," he acknowledged. I thought I was going to attack his followers with a knife to him and a Trump friend. "I could sit down and see how my colleague of another race was killed. But I wouldn't," Reinoehl said.
The entrepreneur was defined as "100% antifa." Last summer, after the death in May of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis, was the most active mobilization against racism.
Reinoehl told a journalist a few weeks ago that he was often doing "security" tasks during the protests, and in early July he was arrested for carrying a pistol loaded at a demonstration, although he was subsequently released.
The activist was not formally charged with the murder of Trump's dissident, and the Portland Police reported on Thursday that it "continued to investigate the incident," according to police sources. However, it seems that the FBI had other intentions.
Trump's follower was in Portland with the ultra-right caravan Patriot Prayer, which has been arrested by the police. The protesters faced racism, firing with pendants and paint bullets.
