In Tabakalera, both the newly created MIA Association and the Association of Women in the Audiovisual and Performing Arts (H)emen.En 2016 were created in the CAV (H) with the aim of promoting the visibility of professional women, promoting labor relations and opportunities and reducing gender imbalance. The association consists of 250 professionals who seek to gain the spaces that correspond to them: “According to the study carried out by the Basque Observatory of Culture in 2016, 55% of the people who attend audiovisual studies are women, but in the working groups of Basque productions only 35% are women”.
Showcase
The San Sebastian Film Festival is an interesting showcase for professionals in the sector. The Association (H)emen wanted to highlight the presence of the women who have participated in the work that will be offered at the fair. In the image below, some of them.
