Errigora's representatives have sent a message proposing that Euskal Herria "give a more supportive response to the disorder caused by the pandemic". From 24 October to 12 November, and thanks to the auzolan, 25% of its value will go to the Basque country in the area. This year, however, solidarity will be even greater: AEK, Seaska and Sortzen structures will be subsidised.
In particular, their solidarity is organised as follows: In the case of requesting a "black basket" (EUR 50), the applicant will provide an extra € 5, in exchange for receiving the Korrika basin and channelling the money directly to AEK, to help alleviate the loss of the Korrika. If you do not request a "green basket" (60 euros), an extra € 5 will be provided to collect the Seaska calendar and to reorient directly to SEASKA.
"We would like to appeal to all those who wish to participate in this campaign in the Basque Country Square. It's simple: we invite you to do what we want it to be. As the slogan chosen for this year's campaign says, we are what we do." This is the message they conveyed at a press conference held on 20 October in Donostia-San Sebastián.
According to the organizers, behind the initiative is "a large network of volunteers" who "in hundreds of countries, work in the dissemination of information, collection of requests and distribution of baskets". The campaign is also the result of the collaboration between AEK, Ikastolen, Sortzen and Errigora. The financial contribution deducted is for the ikastolas of Tudela, Lodosa and Viana, AEK de la Ribera and the sortzen projects in the area.
