Concentration of Uliazpi workers against the Basque sentence

The workers of the Uliazpi Foundation have concentrated on the Plaza José María Sert de San Sebastián against the Vascoafoba ruling this week. LAB and ELA call for mobilizations and denounce that the new judgment violates language rights.
The petition of Euskera in opposition to 34 public carers has been declared illegal by the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country. It argues that it undermines the right to public employment of those who do not demonstrate this linguistic profile. The San Sebastian court ruled last year that it was lawful to ask for Basque, but the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country rejected the resolution this week.
LAB denounces that "the latest judicial aggression against the Basque Country is another violation of rights against the citizens". It stresses that the nature of these jobs makes the attack more serious. On the one hand, it requires that the relationship between the people who receive the service and their caregivers be "close", and in it the language "is vital".
