Meeting in San Sebastián in solidarity with four people who were locked up in the mines of the Estuary

On July 1, 2010, four people were locked up in the mines of the Estuary (Guipúzcoa) to denounce the AAV and stop the explosions that were being carried out in the works of the Ordizi-Itsasondo tunnel. For this they locked themselves in the mine and chained themselves to the huge cementitious drums of the mine. The action lasted five days until four people were found and expelled.
The complaint was filed by the Basque Government and the Basque Railway Network, accusing them of “public disorder” and demanding compensation of 60,000 euros as “civil liability”.A sentence of one year and six months in prison and compensation of 60,000 euros has been requested for each of them.
