The Archdiocese of Pamplona and the Association of Christian Lawyers of Spain filed a complaint against Abel Azkona, accused of "insulting" religious feelings. In 2015 the artist assembled the exhibition Desenterrados and the word "pederastia" that was present, written through ostias.
The complaint was filed by the court, but since the appeal was filed, it was reopened; finally, the High Court of Navarre has closed it definitively.
In 242 Eucharistic celebrations held in Pamplona and Madrid, the founder received sacred hosts, using which the word "Pederastia" he wrote on earth was part of the exhibition Desenterrados organized in Pamplona in November 2015. The Spanish Association of Christian Lawyers has called it a "public desecration."
The exhibition sparked protests from Pamplona’s Opus Dei and Catholic extremists. Praying within the exhibition was one of them.
