This Thursday, 23 February, the third Cross-Border Meeting of Transforming Economy of the Basque Country will take place in Elizondo. It is an initiative organised in cooperation by different associations and cooperatives working on both sides of the Bidasoa, supported by the transforming economy network Olatukoop, the Baztan City Hall, and the European funds of the Pyrenees Strategy.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 in the morning at the Arizkuenea House of Culture. Ways of cooperating will be analysed with a view to exchanging experiences and integrating economic actors. In the morning, you will get to know some examples and you will have inter-cooperation workshops: "What cooperation objectives do we see for the future? they will try to answer the question. The whole morning meeting will end with a meal.
Third meeting
Two other cross-border transformative economy meetings have previously been held, the first in Hendaia in 2019 and the second in Elizondo in 2021. Thus, once again, "we will overcome the same border through transformative economic relations and we will set our point to build local development in a space of work and shared life", explains Beñat Irasuegi and Amandine Lafferrairie, organizers of the meeting.
