Eight years have passed since the arrest of Ekaitz Samaniego, a member of the Gaztetxe in the Guipuzkoan town. In his honor, every year the freestyle festival Ekaitz In Da House was held at the Gaztetxe in Vitoria-Gasteiz. This year the V Edition of the Durango Fair has been held. It's been the Freestyle Championship.

The first protagonist of the premiere of the animation film has been on stage. DJ Eguren has started the session, and the atmosphere has warmed up very quickly. The evening has started with blues music, Soul, Reggae, Funk and Jazz. Along with Eguren, Tito, a member of Indar, has risen, who, like every year, is going to work as a presenter of the work.

Once the interpreter, the presenter and the jury have been prepared, they have climbed the stage Jaio, Izar Mendiguren, Iñaki Viñaspre, Amaia, Odei Barroso and Gatom freestyler. After the presentation of each of the participants, it has been up to the improvisers to make an initial greeting. Gatom has started welcoming Ekaitz Samaniego. Gaztetxe follows the rhythm, as he moves his arms back and forth.

After goodbye, the freestylers have taken a sudden walk. They have joined together and worked on the proposed issues. They have not stopped remembering those who are still in prison, those who have changed during these eight years, those who refer to the police, the corruption of politicians and the strength of the popular movement in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Couples have competed in the battle of barns, in which they have incited and praised the Alavese mood.

But freestylers haven't been the only ones who have been on the stage tonight. The time has come for Show. The Solozabaltarras have gone up and the brothers have played the song I hope you. Along with them, Compost and Fat Fish have performed their favorite songs and the nostalgic moment of the night has come with the first notes of the hymn Fat Fish “Spain smells ass”. In addition, Jon Basaguren and Joseba Baleztena, from the area, have been encouraged at the request of the public and have offered the best version of Jonny and Joseph.

After eight years, Ekaitz is already at home. This initiative, organized in its honour, has become an annual event in Vitoria-Gasteiz and an essential meeting point of the hip-hop world. According to the initial plans, this year the last freestyle championship of the season has been held. But, who knows, solidarity efforts can survive even after the healing of evil.
