They explain that on April 26, 2016 he mobilized to denounce the repression of political organization in the university and to demand that the UPV/EHU take action before it. "The demonstration was repressed by the university for its political character, first hitting the students with its security company and then ordering the Ertzaintza access to university," they point out. In this context, the Ertzaintza "arbitrarily" detained five persons, against whom a trial will be held within six years.

The prosecution accuses them of public disorder, injury, material damage and attack, as well as of particular accusations made by security guards of the UPV/EHU. As for the sanction, the demands of both are different; the prison sentence of 24.5 years and 45,000 euros is the one required by the prosecution, and the particular indictment requires a higher prison sentence: 39.5 years – 17 years to two years, 2 years to another two and a half to the fifth. They anticipate that they will take various initiatives to deal with the economic sanction, such as the donation campaign already launched.
