EH Bildu will not accept a “third way” that leaves out the mayor of Pamplona
- They represent 27% of the voters and, being “the city’s first progressive force”, EH Bildu mayor’s candidate in Pamplona, Joseba Asirón, said the representation will focus on the democratic principle.
Elma Saiz, candidate for the mayor of Pamplona of the PSN, has announced his intention to present his candidacy announcing that on Tuesday morning he would call Geroa Bai and Tú Navarra. And in the afternoon, Joseba Asiron, EH Bildu's candidate, has defended that it is EH Bildu, the most voted "progressive" force, to lead negotiations for an agreement and create an alternative to approve the UPN and get the mayor, because "it is a democratic principle that the most voted progressive force takes power."
Asrón said that EH Bildu does not envisage a formula that leaves out of the mayor of Pamplona, which represents 27% of the voters; "no one proposes a third way", Asiron confirmed. "To assume the leadership in Navarra, as corresponds to the PSN, it is up to EH Bildu to lead in Pamplona", effectively, "the government has to be a reflection of the diversity, also of the government commission," said EH candidate Bildu. He emphasizes that they will be “generous”, “a progressive government may be completed in Pamplona.”
Asron has stated that the next steps will be “discretionary” and “loyal”, and that “I will unite all the paths to shape a progressive government,” because those third paths “necessarily lead to the right-wing government,” he added.
Although it was the first force in seven neighbourhoods, EH Bildu had some 700 votes to 9 councillors and stressed that it was the only force that grew in Pamplona. He also stressed that at the moment we are on the "screen of the City Hall" and that "we are going to go to that basic democratic principle of representativeness", he assured and affirmed that "in the field of negotiation they will remain until the last minute"; "he has taken the first steps" to "contact the other progressive forces".
