EH Bildu will join Kutxa's board after giving up the bank foundation
- The Abertzale coalition will be represented at Kutxa's board of trustees in four persons, corresponding to its representation at the General Boards of Gipuzkoa. The board of Kutxa is composed of twelve seats and Elkarrekin Podemos has also proposed a representative, coinciding with the renewal of the governing body of Kutxa.
Almost four years have passed since the creation of the Kutxa Banking Foundation and it is time to renew the governing body of the entity. The main novelty is the entry of EH Bildu, who four years ago, when the banking foundation was created, refused to participate in it, claiming that it would generate the privatization of the Gipuzkoan savings banks.
Now, as Naiz has said, EH Bildu is ready to take up the four seats that correspond to his representation at the General Meetings of Gipuzkoa. Juan Inazio Ansa, Xabier Arberas, Artizar Erauskin and Idoia Ormazabal will be in charge of assuming the positions of the board and have announced their intention to make "social and public control" of the institution.
Eh Bildu makes a bittersweet balance of Kutxa's trajectory in the last four years: “Kutxa’s assets and shares have been sold in Gipuzkoa companies” and they consider that the territory has lost “social goods”. In the positive aspect, they have highlighted the inclusion of the Donostia/San Sebastian Oncology Public Network.
Along with EH Bildu, Elkarrekin Podemos also joins Kutxa's patron. The purple coalition will have a representative, which is what the pp will lose, because the party of Pablo Casado no longer has sufficient representation in the General Boards to be represented in the governing body of Kutxa.
