In total, the Basque Government’s Labour and Social Security Inspectorate reviewed in 2018 a total of 17,991 contracts. This Wednesday the report on the work done last year has been presented and significant data have been released.
“We have transformed nearly 8,000 contracts, after reviewing almost 18,000 in total. That is, 44% of the contracts reviewed disappointed the law and now become fixed and/or full-time. We have increased the result of the previous year four times. In 2017, 2,000 contracts were transformed and now 8,000 have been transformed,” explains San José.
In addition, last year the Labour Inspectorate imposed sanctions for a total of 832 infringements, bringing a total of EUR 5.6 million. This is an increase of 42% compared to 2017, according to the Basque Government.
