The woman was rescued in small hours on Sunday in San Sebastian, near Sagües. He rushed to the beach of La Zurriola to take a bath at 19:00 in the afternoon and the stream dragged the woman through the sea. Instead of getting nervous, he put his mouth up and was floating until he was rescued five and a half hours later. The sea temperature is around 20ºC in summer, so the young man has a mild hypothermia.
The woman's father transmitted a statement to the media indicating that the young man was rescued in good condition by Salvamento Maritimo on Sunday at 00:40. His father says that the situation was not good blindness. The young man went down at 19:00 in the afternoon to bathe on the beach of La Zurriola. Shortly before 22:00 a friend of yours called her father, after the woman was looking at the beach for an hour and found her things in the sand.
They attended the rescue: Ertzaintza, Fire Brigade, Red Cross, Civil Protection, Municipal Police, Maritime Service of the Civil Guard and Helimer Helicopter of Maritimo Rescue.
The woman, during the bath, was dragged by the stream of water by the sea. Instead of spending energy swimming, he decided to float because of the waves that were there. After five and a half hours, around 00:30, the helicopter found the woman in the area on the Monpas road. His father has denounced the existence of a single helicopter for this type of rescue on the entire Cantabrian coast.
