The Diario Vasco has just published several data on the importance of the large owners in the rental market of Donostia-San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa). Those with more than five floors are considered large owners. According to this medium, about 300 large owners stack around a third of the homes they are renting.
In the Gipuzkoan capital, there are officially 9,323 apartments for rent. Of these houses, 3,017 are the largest owners of the 300 mentioned, that is, one in three households. This represents 3.2% of the total housing stock in Donostia-San Sebastian, as explained in a press release.
