“That’s what we are the Pirates of San Sebastian: a disturbing wave born with the impulse and madness to dump everything,” said the members of the collective at their appearance on Wednesday at the pier of San Sebastian.
Besides the party, they manifest their desire to make demands according to their values. They have worked with different agents, such as the anti-eviction collective, the abortion rights movement, the Altsasua Fathers and Mothers, small traders, the Naiz Association or the Euskal Herria Feminist Forum.
The Pirata Feminist Working Group has relaunched this year, claiming that they want a party and a people without aggression during the holidays. Every day from 13:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. a service area will be installed on the Boulevard. An initiative to denounce the attacks will also be held on 19 August at 19:00.
During the eight days of parties, along with night concerts, other activities will be held such as bertsolaris, pasacalles, games for crews, etc. The approach that has become a symbol is day 14.
The concerts will take place in Flamenkan and in the Plaza de la Trinidad.
