- The Satorralaia neighborhood movement has filed a complaint about irregularities in the Informative Investigation of the San Sebastián Metro in the Administrative Chamber of the Superior Court of the Basque Country.
On January 21, 2016, the definitive “Informative Investigation of the Lugaritz-Easo section of the Donostialdea Metro” was approved, and Satorralaia has filed a complaint against this decision.
The Informative Research is not entirely valid because, according to the movement, it does not have an Environmental Impact Statement. They denounce that this Declaration corresponds to another project and that they have wanted to extend its value to this project. This Declaration was made five years ago to build the Lugaritz-Anoeta section, which began in 2010. On the other hand, the 2016 project proposes a new route and Satorralaia says it has other environmental and legal conditions foreseen in the 2012 Declaration.
In September 2016, the Minister of Economic Development and Competitiveness, Arantxa Tapia, also said that the 2012 Declaration had lost its validity. It lost its effectiveness and value two years after the declarations were made, during which time the works were not started.
