A woman in San Sebastián complains that after the assault on her, she ended up in the ICU unconscious
- Members of the woman’s family have filed a complaint with the Colombian consulate in Bilbao. He was assaulted on 1 February at the gates of a nightclub on Manterola Street in San Sebastián. According to various testimonies, even though he was unconscious, he continued to be beaten by a gunman.
On February 1, Karen Daniela Ágredo Palacio, a 32-year-old resident of San Sebastian, was celebrating her birthday with her partner in a nightclub on Manterola Street. At the door of the nightclub, his partner was arguing with another man, where the Basque Government was present, and his boyfriend was taken away. At that moment, Ágredo began to yell at the police, complaining that his partner had done nothing to take him away. A gunman turned around and pushed the woman and fell to the ground, causing her to faint.
The Colombian edition of the newspaper El País has been told this story of that night by members of the woman’s family. An employee of this nightclub, who witnessed the attack, explains that he was "surprised" at the time, because despite the fact that the woman was "unconscious", she continued to be beaten by a gunman. This witness also warns that he was hit "hard" by a gunman.
According to the family’s complaint, Ágredo was taken to his cell without access to health care, where he was also beaten. The woman was then transferred to the ICU of the Hospital of San Sebastián:El Pais reports that the victim was hospitalized for two or three days, and doctors detected brain edema and an intracardiac hematoma. According to Marling Palacio, her aunt, the woman who was attacked by the Army still has the left side of her body paralyzed and has not regained the mobility of one of her arms.
