In Euskal Herria, we are talking about the care model. We continue to denounce privatization by claiming the need for a public system. We are building alliances to eradicate the racist system. We are questioning models of governance and demanding other models. We have the opportunity to articulate proposals, networks, movements and achievements. We are extending the struggle in multiple dimensions.
We dare to say that we are forming a block in favour of the public surveillance system. We are also strengthening the political agency of the Feminist Movement. Considering the need for care, the Feminist Movement has launched a process of defense of the collective right of care. In short, it has put on the table a commitment to draw common strategies in favor of habitable lives.
The management of the Basque governments is regrettable. No action is taken to improve the working conditions of surveillance workers. Far from strengthening the public system, they continue to deepen privatisation. They ignore the territorial imbalance. We could form a long list of the measures that take in the opposite direction to what we claim to be.
The issue of care has allowed us to extend the feminist struggle to multiple dimensions. We have responded with the proposal of another system to a system that crushes us on different axes. We have long learned that systemic problems have to be addressed by systemic responses.
This system is unsustainable and it is urgent to take steps to turn it back, the lives of working women are at stake.
In this capitalist and racist heteropatriarchal system, working women are the hardest hit. You just have to look at the wage gap data to confirm this. Women have the most precarious jobs. Most of the work outside the general work regime falls to women and most of the unpaid work directly related to care. For all these reasons, we say that this system is untenable and that measures are urgently needed to turn it back, the lives of working women are at stake.
We have to share spaces and times to make comprehensive proposals. We cannot build the people we want without thinking about the steps to be taken since today. The heteropatriarchal system we live in is destroying and building transformative life models, and in that transition we must agree, demand and take urgent action.
In the Feminist Movement we have long decided not to wait and the steps taken in recent years have been the result of the work done. All this would not be possible without militancy and without organization. From the individual, it is essential to organize in different frameworks and planes; from different perspectives and struggles, to sew transversality. Dimensional enlargement. In neighborhoods, towns, countries and national frameworks.
For this, it is essential to activate the agents that will be in different dimensions and to build an articulated response from the Feminist Movements and from the popular movements. Because history has shown that to get things there is nothing but fighting through the organization.
We must continue along the same path as before, from village to village and from neighborhood to neighborhood. We must continue to build a strong and healthy Feminist Movement to provide a solid foundation for the challenges we face in the future. It is worth belonging to this movement, the world is changing and we are changing the world!
Long live the feminist struggle!

The crew is one of the hallmarks of the Basques. Every Basque has a crew or, at least, that is what is expected of a Basque born. It is no less, because we could say that the Group is the social unit of the Basque Country, the atom or basic component of our society. In this... [+]

Conservative mentalities are afraid of the term planning, linking with progressive and even communist political currents, as the new authoritarianisms do today (Milei, Meono, Orban, Aznar, among others). However, the idea of planning is still in good health, at least formally... [+]

End of course. The professor in his solitude. It prints the rhythm of the reflection that noise does in the traction of the train: Has the work done this year been worthwhile? Exhausted, thoughtful, remember his friend's words: “Txo, the teachers have no right to complain to... [+]
