Small shops open their doors in Hego Euskal Herria with great difficulties
- On May 4, small shops have been opened for the first time in Hego Euskal Herria that have not been considered priority. The Official State Gazette has already published the requirements that they will have to comply with, and they will be very difficult to guarantee their work and minimum sales. Some measures are more stringent than those in supermarkets, for example, customers cannot touch goods.
The Official State Gazette (BOE) of 3 May has published the requirements to be met. In short:
Small shops will only be able to use one third of their capacity. They shall ensure a distance of two metres between the customers and those shops where it is not possible to do so, there may be only one customer within them. Shops must be ventilated.
Customers over the age of 65 will be given priority at times when they have established the right to leave the home.
Customer Health Requirements
The store must be disinfected twice a day, especially door handles, counters, tables, earth, hangers and other elements. At each staff shift change, they must disinfect their workstation. Shops will be able to indicate through their cards that they are cleaning their customers, so they will remain closed for a while.

Customers may not use the toilets of their shops, except in cases of force majeure. If a customer uses the toilet, the toilet should be immediately disinfected. Hydroalcoholic gels shall be installed at the disposal of customers.
Shops should clearly indicate the need to maintain the distance of two meters between their customers through posters, land markings, etc.
Each worker shall be able to serve a single customer on a rotational basis.
Other than clothing, no product can be touched
In stores where customers occupy their basket, this function must be performed by a worker so that customers do not touch the goods.
In clothing stores, it must be disinfected before a customer uses the tester. If you don't try and buy a garment from a customer, the store owner "will have to put the means to clean it before making it available to other customers."
Possibility of making local markets, but much less
This Official Gazette acknowledges the competence of the municipalities and stipulates that, if decided by the municipalities, fairs may be held in the open air, where, in addition to food, clothing and other products are sold. It says that priority must be given to food outlets and that it must be ensured that buyers do not touch them. Municipalities shall lay down the conditions for the distance between sales outlets. It adds that only a quarter of the regular posts can be filled and that one third of the usual capacity can be used.
