On Monday, El Mundo published the money that the courts spend to pay the pensions of 114 former members of Congress and the Senate: It is EUR 6 million, with the objective of some pensioners who were political representatives each year earning the highest pension.
In the case of the Basques, the main beneficiary of this luxury pension is the former member of pp and UPN Jaime Ignacio del Burg, who has been one of the party’s main leaders. From Burg it receives EUR 3,102.65 per month, although it has never paid social security contributions.
The one who for years was on the front line of the Navarre right recently reappeared in the self-government report of the Basque Country as an “expert” designated by the PP.
