Osakidetza has detected a new outbreak of COVID-19 related to hospitality, in this case in Irun. This Wednesday, he asked all customers at the Gaztelumendi bar in the town centre who have been at the property between 24 and 28 August to make a PCR. Since the end of last week, a significant increase in cases has been detected in this area: 89 cases in seven days and 21 cases this Tuesday.
Those who were between those days at the bar Gaztelumendi should call for an appointment to perform the COVID-19 test. This same week, another case of similar characteristics has been detected among customers from another bar in the Vizcaina town of Mungia. Similar outbreaks were previously observed in leisure areas of Gernika, Vitoria or San Sebastian.
