The unions LAB, ELA, CCOO, ESK and UGT have published a press release explaining the problem of this situation. Post factories in Gipuzkoa are "saturated" in employment during the summer, as most workers have enjoyed their holidays, according to the note. According to the trade unions, more than half of the equipment is missing, which increases the workload of the porters and prolongs the time of shipments. For example, in Villabona there are two of the six workers; in Eibar there are six of the fourteen; in Bergara only four of the eight are occupied. Trade unions have denounced the “intolerance” of the situation: “The situation is lengthening a lot over time, so if Correos does not solve the problem, the next step will be mobilizations.”
