At a press conference, Alzórriz said that the PSN and the PSOE are in full harmony; that both in Pamplona and Madrid are working to form progressive governments and that the objective of this week’s round of contacts is in that direction. As he stressed, the PSN with this "makes no challenge" to the PSOE, which "continues to bet". He has made it clear that the PSN will go in search of the support of 23 parliamentarians – Geroa Bai, Podemos, I-E and yours – and that they believe that this gives them enough strength to maintain the legislature, because among other things, there are more than 20 seats in Navarre Suma (NS).
The leaks of the PSOE, however, continue to see the problems throughout the legislature, as they have explained from Ferraz the investiture of Chivite would not have so much trouble, but the need for EH Bildu throughout the legislature. Alzórriz made it clear, in the work of forming government and supporting it, they will not talk at all to EH Bildu: “For us they are not progressive and sufficient.”
Unai Hualde of Geroa Bai also reiterated the good will shown by the PSN at the meeting. As he explained, they themselves took the table in August 2007 and the representatives of the SNP warned them that this will not happen again. GEROA Bai reminded them that the new government will need stability throughout the legislature and the socialists have responded that “the ways of making politics have changed” and that they could move forward with 23 parliamentarians. Hualde has been Geroa Bai’s second on the parliamentary list and is the president of the PNV’s Napar Buru Batzar.
GEROA Bai was attended by Uxue Barkos, Hualde, Koldo Martínez, Itziar Gómez and Zabaltze President Ana Ansa. María Chivite, Alzórriz and Inma Jurío have been elected by the PSN.
Ready to support Esparza Sánchez
This Wednesday he also met King Javier Esparza, who has participated in the round of contacts he has had with the spokesmen of the parties that have been represented in the Congress. Esparza has warned that if the PSOE allows the NS to rule in Navarra, the NS can support Pedro Sánchez in the investiture plenary.
In the drafting of these lines, the new quadripartite of Navarra has just reached a programmatic agreement. The quadripartite is new, because the PSN enters and leaves EH Bildu. They also agreed that the Socialists have vetoed those of Bildu, who have ensured that they are not... [+]
In the summer of 1977, thousands of people from the Freedom March entered the camps of Arazuri, in Pamplona, in columns and filled with ikurriñas, shouting that Navarre is the Basque Country. Twenty years later I had the opportunity to interview Juan Cruz Alli, and in... [+]
Ada Colau will remain in the position of Mayor of the Catalan capital, in a context difficult to imagine before the election campaign: With the eight votes in favour of the PSC, the three votes in favour of the candidature of former Prime Minister Manuel Valls, supported so far... [+]
On 19 June, while he was in the constitutive session of the new Parliament of Navarre, on the front sidewalk, there were about 25-30 men behind a banner. They weren't relatives of the prisoners, they weren't workers of a company in crisis, they weren't even Euskaltzales worried... [+]
What does it mean to achieve good results in the elections? Ideologically, parties that coincide with the status quo tend to achieve institutional power and, furthermore, prefer to submit to it all political analyses. In the elections, what is well done is rewarded. And it's... [+]
What affects us when we vote? What ideas, intentions and emotions are there? Veiled political thoughts or elaborate considerations that reflect deeply and then unfold deep roots in our thinking? That we do not know where we have received the beliefs that we collect, as the... [+]
