Urbizu denounces that the macro-empty of Caparroso is making improper use of water
- A few months ago, the Navarre Urbizi River Defense Platform denounced that Caparroso's macro-cattle used hundreds of thousands of m3 of water from 2012 and asked the Ebro Water Confederation about this matter.
Urbizu has explained that doubts are now increasing and it is clear that in addition to the use of water for livestock, the co-operative managing the beef, the Odiet Valley, is using some 105 hectares of water for irrigation in recent years. As Urbizu has published on its website, they have no permits for either.
Urbizu denounces that “this “bioblock”, which is proud to dedicate itself to the circular economy, acts with impunity, and this is yet another irregularity”.
