EH Bildu asks the government for parliamentary information on the Ertzainas condemned for the death of Calvo
- EH Bildu parliamentarian Julen Arzuaga recorded last Friday the request for information, according to ARGIA. He asks the Department of Security for the internal disciplinary records of the Ertzainas processed by the death of Juan Calvo and his professional career at the Ertzaintza.
Arzuaga’s request refers to information published last week by ARGIA and received by various media. He recalls that seven Ertzainas were charged and sentenced for different responsibilities in Calvo’s death, but adds that the sentence itself received “several professional errors” from the Ertzainas. In the opinion of EH Bildu parliamentarian, these faults would be “the basis of disciplinary proceedings”.
Therefore, in the request for information, Arzuaga has asked the Vice President and Security Advisor, Josu Erkoreka “the complete disciplinary proceedings against these seven ertzainas”. EH Bildu also asks to know the professional evolution of these policemen within the Ertzaintza since the death of Calvo. The answer would come after the summer.
