In recent weeks, the subsidiary Solaris Bus & Coach purchased by CAF has sold 120 buses to the Israeli company Egged. These buses will be used in Jerusalem as a means of public transport for vehicle passengers. Egged is the main Israeli public transport operator and its work includes the intercommunication of the Zionist colonies with each other and with other territories dependent on Israel. That is why Egged has been one of the 112 companies denounced by the UN Human Rights Council for its participation in the occupation of the Palestinian and Syrian golan and for obtaining economic benefits.
From Beasain to Poland, passing through Castejón to Jerusalem
CAF purchased all the shares of the Polish company Solaris in September 2018. Subsequently, Andrés Arizkorreta’s company sold 35% of the shares to an investment fund in Poland. In 2018, when CAF purchased Solaris, the company billed €450 million and had 2,500 employees. Andrés Arizkorreta then pointed out that the purchase of Solaris was made "in accordance with CAF's commitment to profitable growth and openness to new strategic markets".
After the Solaris buses have diverted the sale to the Israeli Egged, there will be more than 600 buses that Solaris built to Israel since 2012.
In June 2019, the Vice President of Economic Development of Navarra, Manu Ayerdi, visited the Solaris plant in Poznan, Poland, in the delegation of the public company Sodena. Vectia, a Castejón based hybrid urban bus and electric bus company, was integrated into Solaris Bus & Coach, which is also part of CAF Vectia.
