The Café Bar Bilbao del Casco Viejo, Zazpi Katu Gaztetxea and Bira Kultura, together with Euskaltzaindia, have organized for the second consecutive year the Lautan Hiru project 'antzerki txikia, festibal handi', with the aim of "stimulating" the theater in Euskera. Thus, from 6 February onwards, and for four consecutive weeks, viewers will be able to enjoy three theatre performances each Thursday at the four venues of the organizers.

The Lautan Hiru Theatre Festival started in 2019 with the celebration of the centenary of the Royal Academy of the Basque Language. After the success of last year, the organizers decided, one more year, to shield the Casco Viejo de Bilbao with theatre in Basque.

Most of the works that will be presented at the festival will be in small format, with a maximum of 20-30 minutes duration. On the other hand, as far as tickets are concerned, anyone who wants to see the three pieces on the same Thursday will be able to buy a €5 aid bonus. The bonds will be sold at BIRA and Euskaltzaindia, a week before the festival begins. For those who want to see a single piece, the tickets will cost EUR 2 and can be purchased in the same areas.
