Five people have been arrested by the Ertzaintza following the incidents on 16 March at the football match Real Sociedad - Rome. They are between 27 and 41 years old and have carried hairs in Donostia, Durango, Lezo and Arrasate. They have been charged with "public disorder and damage" and have been made available to the San Sebastian Guard Court.
The two European League teams fought the day of the incidents at the Reale Arena and a bus carrying Italian team supporters before the match stayed by the camp. Then, according to Gedar, an anti-fascist group faced them and there were riots among the fans of both. The Ertzaintza approached the area of hostilities by pelotazos and wounded several people in the area.
Three people were then arrested by the Ertzaintza, aged 19 to 31. The Department of the Interior reports that the operation is open and that there may be more arrests.
