They call Bizi to remove Macron's photos from the walls of city halls and movements ANV-COP21
- Yesterday, 21 February, the Action Non-Violente-COP21 and Bizantino movements took pictures of Macron, President of the French Republic, in the Houses of the People of Paris, Lyon, Uztaritz and Biarritz. Action to denounce the slow policy of the Macron government in the face of the climate problem.
With this action, the members of both movements denounce the freezing of the measures taken in the Paris Agreement to solve the climate problem.
The response of the French Government has not taken long to arrive. The Minister of Territorial Communities, Sébastien Lecornuu, has denounced “the facts firmly”. He has described it as "unacceptable" to enter the municipalities and to lament the image of the president of the Republic. Moreover, the minister has denounced the media use of Macron’s image and refused to use it. “It says that political alternations are necessary, but not symbolic actions that seek to unbalance the Republic.”
The Bizi and ANV-COP21 movements, on the contrary, denounce the suspension of the decisions taken in the Paris Convention to curb the growing warming of the climate: "It's outrageous," the activists said. Both movements have agreed that the fact that the living population is threatened is a real threat and not a peaceful action such as yours.
According to these movements, Macron has betrayed the objectives of the Paris agreements: "At the COP 21 Summit in Paris, measures were announced to reduce climate warming - the warming of the industrial age + 1.5 years - and instead of decreasing, it has moved to warming + 2. Instead of lowering the warming, it's gone up.
The Bizi and ANV-COP21 movements have asked Minister Sébastien Lecornu, as well as the Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, to abandon his positions of threat. The movements have also called for Macron's photos to be taken down from the walls and for local councils throughout France to be required.
