The company responsible for the recycling of clothes has been accused of throwing clothes illegally, as the trucks carrying tons bear the name of the company. The request has been addressed to the Government of Navarra, which has shown its willingness to cooperate with the municipal government of Ziordia, because the amount of clothing is "too large" for municipal capacities.
In addition, the environmental organisation will require the Basque and Navarro governments to demand legal and administrative responsibilities for the "damage done to the environment".
They have also denounced that the high number of clothes collected has meant that the company has not recycled clothes for a long time and that, together with the accumulation of waste, it has become visually the most polluted area in Navarre.
