Back to Gris: a selection of images by Niko Vazquez
- Niko Vazquez is a quick illustrator, graphic and illustrator, also known in his day for music (MCD, Motorsex), who has featured in recent weeks for the construction of a very special visual universe through artificial intelligence: Make Bilbao Grey Again, Bilbao Berriz Gris Aldatu, has created a city of dark and conflicting atmosphere around 1980. Vázquez (fix on first version) explains that he adds Photoshop touches to the result of Midjourney tools and Leonardo.ai to the unspecified artificial image.
In this interview with ETB he explains that he recognizes that he uses some artificial intelligence imaging tool in his base. He mentions that he uses textual descriptions to create images, as it is the working method with these tools. He comments on Twitter that the result of artificial intelligence (via Midjourney and Leonardo.ai touches Photoshopa.
Artificial intelligence will intervene, but also Vázquez's imagination and the results are spectacular. The project has managed to rebuild a dark, conflictive and somewhat primitive Gran Bilbao between 1975-1985. Even a touch of nostalgia, we would say: the series of images is not a rejection of the past, there is a certain claim.
