Two weeks ago, for the first time in a general and broad way, the parents let the children jump into the pools. It has already been two weeks since we celebrated the dismissal and called from Oinherri to make several demands.

Two weeks have passed and the highest administrative bodies have had to admit that if children have been able to go out in the street, there has been no significant increase in cases of contagion.
Were children so dangerous? Or was the alarm I had created with the children not justified?
It's been two weeks and there are still a lot of teenagers who haven't been out in the street. Two weeks have passed and their level of anxiety is increasing (one in four, according to the organization Save the Children). It's been another two weeks, and the number of hours you're facing the screen has skyrocketed. With what this implies: increased level of anger, increased lack of motivation, anxiety, depression…
Two weeks ago, we have to take account of the situation suffered by children, because we cannot come back as if nothing had happened. Two weeks have passed in the terraces of bars and terraces and although adults will return to the workplaces, the rights of children and adolescents have not made significant progress. It's been two weeks, and even though we've breathed a little bit, we haven't learned that children are active subjects of this society. After two weeks we have been forgotten.
Two weeks have passed and we have begun to think about the return: how to do schooling, to make a deep urban reflection, to put in place tools to give the word to childhood…
In what some people want us to think of as a “new normality”, from Oinkari we believe that this moment can be an opportunity to rethink many things. For example, how we want to go back to school and how to make that return, deep reflections at the urban level, how to put educative care at the center, how to build a more sustainable relationship with nature, how to reverse the violations of linguistic rights that we suffer -- and we're convinced that we have to reinvent it as a community.
Offering all citizens the opportunity to participate in decision-making forums, including children and young people. It has been two weeks and we do not want our future to be a “new normalcy”. We want to be protagonists in reviving and deciding our future. It has already been two weeks… but this is not going to be a two-week job, which will require a lot of work for the coming weeks, months and even years. That is why it is time to continue working.
